Parliament-Funkadelic

George Clinton ran two bands under one philosophy through the 1970s: Parliament for the horns and the mothership mythology on Casablanca Records, Funkadelic for the guitar-heavy, acid-soaked flip side on Westbound. Same musicians, two very different listening experiences.

Of note: early Funkadelic pressings on Westbound are the ones that actually move among collectors. The Casablanca-era Parliament records are more common and generally more affordable.
